Let's go to the third edition !!!
The aim
Since the first edition, the aim is to propose to professionnal table tennis team and also national teams, a frienship tournament just after training camps and before the beginning of differents international and national championship.
This table tennis event is also an opportunity to promote and democratize table tennis in our region, department and city.
The date
The third edition will take place on August, the 22nd and the 23rd, 2009 in Abbeville at the Centre Omnisports.
Competition stages
Each team is composed of 3 players and a substitute (who is allowed to play in the double).
An encounter consists of 6 single matches and one double (the first team scoring 4 points wins the corresponding encounter). The 8 teams are divided into 2 groups of 4 teams. At the end of the group encounters (on saturday), the 2 first teams of each group plays crossed semi-finals (1st of group A against 2nd of group B, 1st of group B against 2nd of group A) for a final qualification.
Teams ranked 3rd after group encounters will play for the 5th position, and teams ranked 4th after group encounters will play for the 7th position.
Ranking matches take place on sunday.
